Let’s build more electric bikes
Building and using your bike is the best thing you can do for the environment. Bicycles are referred to as the most sustainable transport today. Across the globe today cities are building new cycle paths and routes to encourage a wider use of bicycles and in Cornwall the council is developing a new cycle network.
When I started cycling a year ago it was because of an electric wheel, it helped me climb the hills of Cornwall and develop my bicycle legs! I now ride as much as I can and am frustrated when I can’t.
We want to help you get your old bikes out of the shed and to start riding again and that is why we offer a conversion of bikes to electric. More importantly when we convert those bikes we can develop the parts needed to do that safely.
The process begins with a look at your frame and the material it is made from. We need to look at the type of brakes your bike uses and also axle designs and many other aspects of your cycling and your bike.
It is not simply about the bike it is also about how you want your bike to look. We are currently building a unique bicycle rack.
In the photo above the pedal crank is a nice black colour with only one cog and that is because Chris drilled out the other two cogs and then gave it a respray.
Chris machined short extension pieces for the Ridgeback bike which has made the bars brilliant.
